JESUS THE DELIVERER   Leave a comment

JESUS THE DELIVERER

So if the Son (Lord Jesus Christ) sets you free, you will be free indeed.     (John 8:36)

Dear friends! Our Lord Jesus Christ has not only won a victory over death but also over sin and that is why He is able to deliver us from sin and death. What love and grace! (Romans 8:2). He also saved us from the curse that was on mankind (Galatians 3:13). He is the Almighty God Who has resurrected us from the state of being dead in our trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1).
You may face failures and inspite of your best efforts to do well; you might not see good results or continue to face failures. You might be addicted to some sin and yearn for deliverance. You might have lost all hope of deliverance from that sin. It is to set you free from this agony that Christ died and was resurrected triumphantly. Lord Jesus Christ, known as the Lion of Judah, will pour His resurrection power and all the negative thoughts that there is no hope or deliverance, will vanish away from you. His resurrection power will take root in your heart and surely you will have success in life.

A youngster named Baskar shared his testimony of how God delivered him from addictions and blessed his life. He says, “I was addicted to smoking and drinking alcohol from the age of 22. It would be impossible for me to be without smoking or drinking even for a day. For many years, there was no deliverance for me from this habit. When I was 24 years old, During those days, I was  unemployed and one day i came across a  prayer meeting held , the person who was giving the message, noticed me and  he told me you’re in sin as soon as he saw my face,. During prayer time, the power of God descended on me he called me and said God will bless you! Others will be surprised on seeing your blessed life! .Your have overcome those terrible habits’. That was too good for me to believe, but very soon a good job came my way,

Dear Friend! You may be dead in sins but Lord Jesus Christ will deliver you and resurrect you from them. “If the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). He will give you a blessed life like He gave Baskar. It’s His grace that you live a blessed life. So seek the Lord Jesus Christ and He will bless you and make you a blessing to others.

Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
As I meditate of Your resurrection from the dead, my whole being trembles with joy. Yes Lord, death has no power over You and You conquered death. Because of Your resurrection, I have hope in You. Lord, deliver me from the things that are displeasing in Your eyes and bless me. Make me a blessing to others and use me to glorify Your name. I give You all the glory, honour and praise.
In the name of Jesus Amen.

Counsel With God (JESUS)   Leave a comment

Always Seek His Counsel

As Moses was about to die, he transferred leadership of Israel to Joshua. God gave His approval of Joshua with the instructions, “Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go” (Joshua 1:7).

Initially, Joshua sought God’s counsel for every step he took. Joshua received direction for crossing the Jordan river (Joshua 3), building a lasting memorial (Joshua 4), renewing the covenant of circumcision (Joshua 5), and defeating the fortified city of Jericho (Joshua 6). In all of this Joshua listened and obeyed; “So the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout the land” (Joshua 6:27).
However, after the miraculous success at Jericho – after Joshua witnessed the city walls fall with the sound of a trumpet and a shout – Joshua’s confidence began to grow. When it was time to attack the small city of Ai, Joshua relied on his own strength and the advice of men rather than seeking God.
Joshua 7:3-4
“‘Send two or three thousand men to take it and do not weary all the people, for only a few men are there.’ So about three thousand men went up; but they were routed by the men of Ai.”
Attacking the city of Ai seemed an insignificant decision. It was a small city and the Israelite army was mighty. And God had already given general instructions to conquer the entire land and an assurance of victory in battle; “I will give you every place where you set your foot…No one will be able to stand up against you” (Joshua 1:3,5). But, unknown to Joshua, there was sin in his camp – spiritual battles which would hinder any physical victory; “That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies” (Joshua 7:12). The assurance of victory always assumes we are walking with God and trusting in His strength. When did we last seek and received counsel from God? If it’s been longer than the time it took to begin our last step, we may be attempting to fight a battle we cannot win. We must never presume to know God’s specific plan without asking for specific directions. Just because He said “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19), doesn’t mean we can presume on His method or His timing; “Apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). God will show us the way, but we must ask for His guidance; “I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken” (Psalm 16:8).

Our battles are never won because of our strength or the enemy’s weakness. They are won only as we allow God to guide and then boldly follow where He leads. No matter how insignificant the decision may appear, let’s be sure to walk in His strength and always seek His counsel.

Today’s Promise from the Bible   1 comment

When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:4)

Reflection
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, who is the Lamb of God and our Bridegroom shall return! Our true life is hidden in Him and when He appears in clouds of glory, then shall our own true lives be made apparent in Him. His life of obedience is ours (Romans 5:19 and Hebrews 5:8). Much more, if we now have righteousness by his blood, will salvation from the wrath of God come to us through him” and “And though he was a Son, through the pain which he underwent, the knowledge came to him of what it was to be under God’s orders;”

His death and suffering is ours. So too is His resurrection to new life. And even so, His revelation in robes of splendour at the final day shall be shared with every one of His saints. So put to death the earthly things until His coming and you shall be crowned in His glory.

PRAYER:

Loving Heavenly Father,

“LORD JESUS, I invite YOU into my life. I believe YOU died for me and that YOUR blood paid for my sins. I turn away now from everything that is wrong and ask forgiveness for my past. Thank YOU for YOUR gift of eternal life. By FAITH, I receive that gift, and I acknowledge YOU as my LORD and SAVIOR. In  JESUS’ NAME, AMEN.”

Who was Cain’s wife?   Leave a comment

That just shows the difference between your religion (Evolution) and mine (Christianity). There is no so called evidence of Evolution; you must take it by faith. I have to wonder from your description of ‘other races’ what race you think Cain was? Was he white? Was he brown? I guess from what you say, you don’t believe he was black, yellow or red. My point is that you have managed to be very racist by your very thought process. All mankind (red, yellow, black, brown and white) was created in the image of God.

I don’t plan on arguing with you about evolution, but since you asked a couple of questions I will answer them. Cain did marry his sister and nothing you said changes that. For example you talk about the taboo of primitive societies against such practices. Do you understand why? Because of the horrible birth defects which would result. Now ask yourself this question, would that have been true with Cain? No, because the gene pool was pure at that point.

You claim that no daughters were born to Adam and Eve until after Seth was born, but that is not what the Bible says. We are not told about all the sons and daughters Adam and Eve had only those which are important to the story.  Cain was important because he was the first born. Was Able the second? We don’t know, he was important because Cain killed him. Seth was important because he took the place of Cain in the line of Christ. Silence about other sons and daughters until Seth does not mean there were none.

The fact that Cain was worried that if anyone found him they would kill him, supports the idea that they were all relatives. Cain killed their; brother, uncle, father, etc… so it would be natural for them to take revenge on him.

You seem to try to take parts of the Bible but yet don’t believe most of it.  The Bible says that God created everything. So believe it. The Bible says that sin came into the world through one man: Adam. Now if there were other people that would mean they were sinless, since they were not from Adam’s line. Yet the Bible says we are all sinners.
